The server address

Playing on a tablet, phone or Windows? The port is 19132.

Step 1: Get your key

KidSMP is just for friends, so a grown-up has to add you before you can come in. Tell them your Minecraft name (on a computer) or your Xbox gamertag (on a console, tablet or phone).

Computer

PC or Mac · Java Edition

Open Minecraft and click Multiplayer.
Click Add Server.
Type mc.kidsmp.com in Server Address.
Click Done, then click KidSMP to play!

Tablet / phone

iPad, iPhone, Android, Chromebook or Windows

Tap Play, then the Servers tab.
Scroll down and tap Add Server.
Address: mc.kidsmp.com
Port: 19132
Tap Save, then tap KidSMP to play!

If it asks to trust the server, say yes.

Console

Xbox, PlayStation or Switch

Go to Play → Friends → Add Friend.
Search for BuddyJoe#3964 and add them. They say yes right away!
Go back to the Friends tab.
Pick BuddyJoe's world (KidSMP) to play!

PlayStation and Switch: you need to be signed in to a Microsoft account inside Minecraft.

Uh oh, can't get in?

It says "You are not white-listed"

A grown-up hasn't added you yet. Ask them, and check your name is spelled right.

It says "Outdated client" or "Outdated server"

Update Minecraft to the newest version, then try again. The server is on version 26.3.

It says "Can't connect" or "Unable to connect"

Check the address is mc.kidsmp.com (and port 19132 on tablets and phones). The server might be restarting. Wait one minute and try again.

My console doesn't show KidSMP in Friends

Make sure you added BuddyJoe#3964 exactly, including the #3964. Then close Minecraft and open it again.
